I’ve been drinking the Old Fashioned forever. It is my go to cocktail of choice. I’ve tried them at all the fancy restaurants and I’ve made them at home in so many different ways. Here is my favorite home version.
Traditionally, sugar cubes are added but the bourbon barrel aged maple syrup not only sounds impressive, it adds a little more then regular sugar would. The walnut bitters are also not traditional, but again, they add something extra.
What bourbon to use? I like to mix a few but any decent bourbon over 90 proof will work.
Drink Smoker? I got one for Christmas and never used it. Now I use the thing all the time. I love busting it out at parties. You can get them online.
