The Paper Plane, named after the popular song by M.I.A., is a cool and popular whiskey cocktail. Equal parts of Bourbon, and two Italian liquors plus fresh lemon juice make for a very fun adult beverage. Amaro and Aperol are readily available at most liquor stores and are great additions to your liquor cabinet. The original recipe calls for equal parts of all ingredients but I find it a little too acidic and not enough bourbon. So my version adjusts for more bourbon and less lemon juice.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces bourbon
- 1.5 ounces Amaro
- 1.5 ounces Aperol
- 1/2 ounce lemon juice
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake at least 20-30 seconds until fully combined. Double strain into a frozen coupe or martini glass.
- Enjoy!
