White Lotus (Lychee Vesper) Martini

I watched the first two seasons of White Lotus. I wasn’t sure my wife would like some of the graphic scenes. When they announced season three would feature Walton Goggins, my wife asked if I’d seen the show. I confessed, yes, I’d watched it. Walton Goggins is one of our favorites (certainly my wife’s favorite 😁) from the series Justified, featuring him and Timothy Olyphant. I had also watched season one of Fallout, which I wasn’t sure she would like either. With her interest piqued because of Walton’s appearance in both, we went back and watched the first two season of White Lotus and Fallout as well. Now we are finishing off season three of White Lotus and this cocktail popped up on my feed. After tracking down the lychee liqueur and the canned lychee, I set out to copycat the recipe. I love a martini and I LOVE a Vesper so it made since I would enjoy this cocktail. At first, it was a little sweet but as I continued to drink it, I enjoyed it more and more.

Ingredients for The White Lotus Martini

  • 2 oz London dry gin (we used Bombay Sapphire)

  • 1-2 dashes orange bitters
  • Fresh or canned lychee for garnish
