Review: SIDEWALL Pizza Company

The owners of SIDEWALL Pizza Company came to Travelers Rest, South Carolina to build canoes I think. Who knew they would end up making pizzas. I’m not sure about their canoe making skills, but their pizza making skills are spot on.

For me, its about the crust. Thin, crispy but with a chew. That’s how I explain it. That’s how I like it.

The ingredients SIDEWALL use are top shelf but they don’t put too much on. You can taste them all but they don’t over do it like most national pizza places.

All their pizzas are awesome, below are a few of our favorites. Our all time favorite is the Protein.

Protein: chopped bacon, big pepperoni, prosciutto, Italian sausage, mozzarella, pecorino

Margherita: fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil

Spicy Italian: Italian sausage, hot cherry peppers, Italian herbs, extra virgin olive oil, shredded & fresh mozzarella, pecorino

Bacon Bliss: 16 slices of all-natural, nitrate-free bacon, mozzarella, pecorino

If you are a follower of this blog, I hope you’ve noticed that July was pizza month. If you missed them, the links are below. Check them out.

And here are a few pizzas from the past.
