This old school cocktail is regaining some popularity with some minor tweaks. The drink got its start in the early 20th century in colonized southeast Asia. It is basically a Gin Sour but dumps the egg whites and adds the two bitters. More traditional recipes use triple sec or Cointreau but I’m using Grand Marnier because that’s what I had. It turned out to be a fantastic, savory cocktail.
Ingredients for The Pegu Club Cocktail
- 2 ounces gin, we like Bombay Sapphire

- Double strain into a chilled couple or Nick and Nora cocktail glass.
- Enjoy.
