This is another great example of a boozy cocktail that I have been trending towards for a while. Also another New Orleans drink and a variation of the Vieux Carré Cocktail which I LOVE. Absinthe makes it for me plus the luxardo cherries. This one is goooood.

Ingredients for an A La Louisiane Cocktail

• 2 ounces rye whiskey
• 1 ounces sweet vermouth
• 1 ounce Benedictine
• 1 teaspoon absinthe
• 3 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
• Luxardo cherries

How to make an A La Louisiane Cocktail

1. Add the rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, benedictine, absinthe and bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
2. Stir until well chilled, 20-30 seconds.
3. Strain into a coupe or Nick and Nora glass.
4. Garnish with Luxardo cherries.
