I’ve mentioned in many previous post about cocktails that I lean towards a boozy drink. For some reason, even more recently, I’ve been obsessed with old school and even more specifically New Orleans cocktails. I made the Old School Sazerac Cocktail, the Vieux Carré and the A La Louisiane. The more I research different drinks, the more different drinks come up in my social and search feeds. This is how I came across the Creole Cocktail. I also made a special trip for previous drinks to buy Bénédictine, so I was ready to try this one.
Ingredients for the Creole Cocktail
- 2 1/2 ounces rye whiskey
- 1 ounce sweet vermouth
- 1/4 ounce Bénédictine
- 1 splash maraschino liqueur
- Lemon peel for garnish
How to make a Creole Cocktail

- Strain into chilled coupe or Nick and Nora glass.
- Garnish with lemon peel
